Do you ever amaze yourself? I seem to do this constantly. I believe I have something in my control, and then God has to show me how silly I am to believe this. I can never rely on myself because I’m subject to make mistakes.
If I’m honest, these 100 days of faith started so beautifully. I mean, I knew there would be some pushback, but with MY GOD, all things are possible if I BELIEVE. Absolutely! But I would still have to push through in the hard times.
Friends, it is 81 days left in this year, and I got distracted. I started to believe that I was making things happen( how quickly we forget when things are going well). See, one of my struggles is that I place too many things on my plate. Too many carbs and not a balanced meal. Do you find yourself struggling with this at times? Trying to balance being a wife, mom, friend, and employee. Or No, you’re just SuperWoman?
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.' Romans 12:1-2
Well, the burnout was natural for me this weekend! I heard God telling me throughout the week giving me instructions, but I decided to cut some of them out. How many times do we miss that small details because we think we know a shortcut? God’s faithfulness never seems to amaze me because, amid the burnout and tiredness, He still stood beside me. He is the source of our strength!
We’re just 19 days in, and I’m faltering, wavering, bouncing against the barriers. But still, God is moving, holding to His promises. This week my first episode of HerCloset Conversations Podcast went live on all major streaming platforms. Can I tell you… I was terrified… It’s one of the things I am trusting God about. I don’t have the details, there’s so much I don’t understand, but I’m trusting him. It’s not going to be easy, but we have to start to take that step into what He has called us to, even if we do it shaking.
This week I want to remind you of the little details:
- To eat a balanced meal – God, Faith, trust (less doubt and fear)
- Renew your minds every day
- All things are possible through Christ who strengthens us( no ourselves)
- Rest in the promises God has given you
- To remember God is faithful
- Fill Your Cup First (all others second)
Have a Great Week. You’ve got this!
Lord, the promises you have entrusted to me help me to know that you made no mistake. You’ve placed everything I need within me , I only need to trust you. Thank you for your faithfulness and grace as I shift my heart and mind to bring glory to your name.
