Whatever Makes You Happy
It’s Friday, typically when asked what someone should do. My response is Do Whatever Makes You Happy. This statement is often used as an excuse when we don’t want to be bothered. Sometimes doing what makes you happy at the moment isn’t what you need.
Lets rewind today is Monday 😩. Friday was a whirlwind, to say the least. The thought process I had for the weekend was I would relax all weekend and work on some projects that are on my to-do list. However, my sister came up to visit and we thought it would be a great idea to take a day trip to Georgia( not sure who’s smart idea it was first). Which meant there would be no relaxing weekend.
Why,couldn’t I do what made me happy( insert mini tantrum)? Well, my sister hadn’t seen my dad in a while, so this could be a great opportunity ( I mean it was only 5 hours😅). Ok, so we’re going- did I mention I went to bed late and we were driving 5 hours? None of this lines up with My Happy?
The look of surprise on my fathers face when we arrived – was well worth not doing what made me Happy. Don’t get me wrong sometimes doing what makes you happy is great but so many times we use it as an excuse. Remember if doing whatever makes you happy is a cop-out or an excuse for you to not push through, it’s not going to make you happy.😊
