Who said Discipline was Easy
Just when you think you have everything figured out. God smiles and whispers; there is another level.
All that I am,
and all that I hope to be
All of my desire
and all of my abilities
I’m fully committed
To your Will, and to Your way. (Walter Hawkins, Fully Committed)
I desire to commit to God’s will for my life entirely. A few weeks ago, I had a conversation with my father, which brought me to the realization that I was settling in life being mediocre. Who wants to be average? Surely not me, God didn’t create me just to keep afloat? I am a winner, a woman of excellence! So, Why wasn’t I living the best version of Alena?
The truth was I didn’t want to be disciplined. No commitment, just free to do what I wanted wild and free. However, the Bible’s says :
“Now all discipline seems to be more pain than pleasure at the time, yet later it will produce a transformation of character, bringing a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who yield to it.”Hebrews 12:11 TPT
So How could I be all that God created me to be if I wasn’t discipline? I couldn’t, is the simple answer. To obtain any great achievement, you have to be disciplined and commit to the process. Will it be easy, Hell No! But can you achieve your goals? Yes! Yes, We can with a lot of discipline, commitment, and consistency.
Yeah, Yeah, I know that sounds good, but we still need a plan to execute our goals. I turned 40 this past April, and I realized that the quick fix weight loss wasn’t going to cut it anymore. I needed to be strategic and implement a plan if I wanted to lose weight and be healthy. What are some goals that you have? Have you come up with a strategic plan? I encourage you to commit to paper whatever your endeavors are and come up with a plan. I know I am 😉
